Melissa Winkler-York
Melissa Winkler-York opened her own law practice in July 2009 after working as an associate attorney at another law firm for almost five years. She was admitted to the Indiana Bar in the fall of 2004, having earned her J.D. at the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis (now called the Robert H. McKinney School of Law). She attended Purdue University and earned her B.A. in 2000.
Melissa is licensed to practice in the State of Indiana, the U.S. District Court Northern District of Indiana, the U.S. District Court Southern District of Indiana, and the United States 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Melissa also occasionally serves as a judge pro tempore and guardian ad litem.
Melissa handles family law cases in Marion and Johnson Counties. She also works as a guardian ad litem and a mediator.
Elisha Comer
Elisha began working as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC in April 2018.
She was admitted to the Indiana Bar in the fall of 2011 and has worked as a child support prosecutor in Hamilton County, as a DCS attorney in Marion County, and in private practice.
Elisha handles family law cases, including CHINS and adoptions.
Justin Smith
Justin began working as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC in October 2022.
He attended the Robert H. McKinney School of Law and graduated in May 2022. Prior to being admitted to he bar, he was a certified legal intern at The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC.
Justin handles family law cases.
Tiffany McCoy
Tiffany began working as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC in April 2024. Prior to working for Melissa, Tiffany was was a Deputy Attorney General at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, where she focused on criminal appeals. She later turned to private practice, where she focused on criminal and family law.
Tiffany obtained her law degree from Valparaiso Univiersity Law School, where she was an honors program scholar and graduated magna cum laude.
Tiffany handles family law, criminal defense, and post-trial matters such as appeals and post-conviction review.
Nicholas Andre
Nick began working as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC in July 2024. Prior to that, he worked for the Department of Child Services and in private practice.
Nick attended the Robert H. McKinney School of Law and graduated in 2019. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar the same year.
Nick handles family law, and is a guardian ad litem.
Olivia Hazelwood-Bromm
Olivia began working as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Melissa Winkler-York, LLC in October 2024. Prior to becoming an attorney, Olivia was was a Certified Legal Intern.
Olivia attended Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating in 2024.
Olivia handles family law and elder law.
